Anyone who takes pictures with his smartphone at night knows, this generally produces very lousy results.
Google is changing that with the new Night Sight mode, which is now available on smartphones from the Pixel series.
With the aid of a specially developed algorithm for this purpose, the different frames that are recorded when taking a photo are superimposed at lightning speed.
The result is amazing, as this video from The Verge shows.
Hopefully this function will soon be available on other devices.
